We are a self funded competitive boxing team and community program in the Bronx, NY. Find out more at teamgogetit.org.
We don't charge for competitive training or equipment. This is expensive but the only way to be inclusive and give our members the chance they need in life that they otherwise cannot afford.
We made this campaign because we need your help. We are raising money to set ourselves up as a not for profit so that we can apply for the many grants already available but out of our reach.

Why is our campaign target $4,265?
When you setup a not for profit you first have to setup a company that is then converted into a not for profit. Then you need full accounting and legal oversight to ensure that the money donated is correctly spent and accounted for.
Setup costs are:
$400 - corporate NY filing fee
$500 - operating agent (NY requirement)
$2,000 - accounting and book keeping 1 year
$200 - federal 501 3(c) filing fee
$25 - NYC charities bureau registration
Total = $3,125
+ 5% commission go fund me charge
Grand Total $3,281.25.
Tax liability in 2017 up to 30%
Grand total with fees and tax liability $4,265

About the team
Our goal is to build champions in boxing and in life. We offer boxing coaching, physical conditioning, academic support and mentoring - helping boys and girls from 8 to 21.
For many of our members we are a home a way from home - a place to come and learn how to be healthy, improve fitness and stay off the streets and out of trouble.
Some of our members have become very successful:
Nisa is 8 time golden glove champion, ranked second in USA and competing for the Puerto Rican Olympic team.
Dez is 3 time junior olympic champion and 3 time NYC metro champion.
Danny is not far behind them both.
