Emilia and her poorly heart.

Hi everyone and welcome to Emilia's go fund me page.

We are Emilia's Grandparents and we have set up this page to help raise funds for Emilia and her Mummy and Daddy.

THE STORY SO FAR

Emilia was diagnosed (at Mummys 20 week scan) with a rare congenital heart disease called HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome) it is estimated that it effects 1 in 100,000 births (67% male more than female) the whole family are obviously devastated by this tragic news.

Emila was born at the Royal Stoke Hospital on 28/02/18. Emilia then spent 4 nights in the Neonatal ICU before being moved to Birmingham Children's Hospital where she underwent the 1st of 3 life saving heart surgeries on 05/03/18.

It is going to a long and hard journey for all 3 of them, notwithstanding all of that Emilia's Daddy has also been ill and off work for the past 9 months and Mummy has had to take early maternity leave due to her own health issues.

As Grandparents we wish we could provide all the financial help that they will need for the next few months and beyond,  unfortunately this is not possible and we are now asking for a little help to ease the financial stress that they are currently under and will be for the forseable future, thus allowing them to focus on the most important issue, Emilia's health and wellbeing.

WHERE WILL MY DONATION GO? 

Any funds that are raised will go towards their accomodation and travel expenses whilst they are in Birmingham for all 3 of Emilias surgeries, this will enable them to spend as much time as possible with her, the funds will also help with the general day to day cost of bills and expenses that come with having a new baby.
