                                Winners Never Quit

It’s an ordinary day with a thousand things to do and you know that, after your son’s physical for baseball you still have more stops to do before you head home for the day. On that ordinary day your family’s life changes forever, and nothing will ever be the same.  Your world becomes a world of doctors with names you can’t pronounce. Appointments at hospitals you never thought you would ever have to step into. Countless hours fighting with insurance companies over a simple test that your son needs that could save his life. You never stop because you know that Winners Never Quit. Imagine that this could be your family but……………

This is Dylan Pollock’s story, and, on that ordinary day, he went for an ordinary physical. The doctors found a not so ordinary mass in Dylan’s chest that was determined to be Cancer. A mass that had attached itself to his heart and required a risky emergency surgery to remove it. Dylan survived the intricate surgery but his battle is just beginning. The pathology report came back and he has a rare form of Cancer.  He’ll need to go to Boston for the treatment of this rare cancer and he’ll need constant care of his family by his side.

Dylan is the definition of a hero! At 20 years old he is a young man with unbounding strength, perseverance, and determination that inspires anyone who meets him. He is determined he will beat this and he will………With Your Help!

Today we are inviting YOU to be a member of Team Dylan. Your donation helps Al, Theresa, and his sister, Teagan, stand beside Dylan while he fights this extraordinary battle. Whether you make a donation through the website, attend a local fundraiser,  or participate as a volunteer at a fundraising event, you are contributing to “Winners Never Quit” and you become a member of Team Dylan. The Pollock family shouldn’t have to worry about where the money will come from for a hotel in Boston when Dylan needs treatment. They shouldn’t have to worry about paying the electric bill when they are holding his hand in the middle of the night. There should always be money to buy lunch when they’ve waited for 4 hours for a doctor’s appointment especially when they’ve been told it could be another 2 hours before they’re seen. They should never feel alone and we can help by making it easier for them to focus on Dylan and not the expenses of this horrible disease. Make it an extra ordinary day and donate!
