Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Carly Locke knows what an amazing person she is. Carly is a gracious, brave and strong young woman whose infectious smile brightens a room.

In 2013, Carly suffered from a brain hemorrhage, leaving her unable to do much of what she used to. Carly suffers from Locked in Syndrome-where although she is unable to speak, walk or eat, she is able to completely understand everything that has happened and that goes on around her. She is able to communicate using eye blinks to spell words.

Carly’s parents have gone above and beyond to do everything they can to continue to give Carly the quality of life she deserves. Unfortunately, their home is not entirely wheelchair accessible, making many aspects of Carly’s care more difficult. They would love to have a wheelchair accessible bathroom and a bedroom for Carly on the first floor. This would allow a space for Carly’s equipment and hospital bed out of the dining room and for Carly to be able to shower. A simple thing she hasn’t been able to enjoy because of the limitations of the house. We also hope that any money raised will help Carly to begin non-traditional therapies to maximize her recovery.

Please help us help the Lockes continue to provide Carly with all that she deserves.
