“Coronado High School student athlete Blanchard Seniff survived a near fatal cardiac event during swim practice last April, 2015 and his life has been dramatically altered. Blanchard was subsequently diagnosed with a progressive heart disease, ARVD, which is one of the most common causes of sudden death in young people, especially athletes. He received an implanted defibrillator and must limit his activity level for the rest of his life. Despite these events and diagnosis, Blanchard Seniff exudes a positive attitude as he creates his new life. The Coronado community is grateful for his survival and is using this gift of life opportunity to raise awareness of ARVD and give back to efforts to effect diagnosis, treatment and to find a cure. Johns Hopkins Hospital is conducting promising research as the global leader in this endeavor. Your philanthropic support will make a significant impact on Johns Hopkins ARVD research to find a cure and treatment benefiting thousands of people in future generations. Please donate here or online at ARVD.com and designate Team Blanchard.”
