TEAM ANTONIO JR!

Donation protected
On February 10th Antonio Huerta Jr. began experiencing strange symptoms that eventually lead to a series of seizures, incoherency and erratic behavior. After two weeks of sedation and a terrifying ride for he and his family Antonio Jr. was diagnosed with a rare disease known as Anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis. This disease is an acute form of brain inflammation that is potentially lethal but has a high probability for recovery with treatment.

Antonio Jr. is 15 years old and he has the strength to get through this horrendous experience. According to the doctors his family is looking at a minimum of two and a half months in intensive care. After he recovers he will require an extended regiment of physical therapy to regain speech, strength and coordination.

His parents Antonio and Martha Huerta have placed their trust in God and are bravely facing the challenge before them. They have been by Antonio Jr.’s bedside ‘round the clock since his hospitalization. Recovery for their family will be an extended process that will take several years as well as they face the physical, emotional and financial challenges ahead of them.  In addition to the high cost of medical care they will also have the strain of missed work,  travel expenses and a host of other challenges.

Please join us as we show our support for Antonio Jr. and his family’s faith and courage. Any contribution that you can make will be greatly appreciated.
