TEAM VARK Goes an Extra Mile for Essential Workers
  

The mission of Aardvark Sports Shop is "To improve lives and build community through movement."  TEAM VARK members know first hand that the staff of the shop embodies this mission completely.  They have been there for us with organized runs, post run eats and drinks, give-aways, swag, and plenty of encouragement along the way.  (LITERALLY AS WE ARE RUNNING UP HILLS DURING RACES!! ) 

Currently the City of Bethlehem has 50 mail routes that require the carrier to walk the ENTIRE route!!  They have been out there during this pandemic, putting themselves at risk, so we can get our mail.  We have run many of those streets and know that it seems most are uphill and some spots are closer to an obstacle course than a sidewalk.  Therefore, what better way to help them than by fitting them in the latest performance sneaker to make their day a little easier.  And we know the right shop to do it!!

During this time that is tough on everyone, we have been thinking of how we can show our TEAM VARK thanks and appreciation to both the shop and our community.  That said, we want to raise money to give Aardvark Sports Shop gift certificates to the mail carriers in Bethlehem.  We have been in contact with both the shop and the local Postmaster, and both groups were very thankful to hear of our proposal.  Always being generous, Bruce has also offered to match this fundraising with an additional $25 for each $100 raised.  Therefore, if we can raise $5000 we can give each of those 50 mail carriers a $125 gift certificate to Aardvark. 

Fundraising Goal: $5,000 to be matched by Aardvark resulting in fifty $125 gift certificates.
