In Memory of Susan Millsom: GBM research donation
Donation protected
Susan Millsom, our best friend, mother, and wife went to be with the Lord on the morning of Friday, June 12, 2020. Our hearts are grieved and crushed at our great loss, but we are beyond grateful for the beautiful legacy she leaves and her eternal life in Heaven. We are celebrating that Susan is healed, whole, and dancing with Jesus. She will continue to be a light and a blessing to all of us. She fought strong and loved stronger. After receiving the grim prognosis of 6 to 9 months to live, we were blessed with over six and a half more years together because of her strength to fight and God’s grace. We want others to have a greater chance of success and help change the terrible diagnosis of glioblastoma (GBM).
Mom’s constant prayer was that God would use her story for His good and glory. Let it be so.
In continuing mom’s legacy of always putting others first and loving them, we have created this account to help continue her Doctor’s research. 100% of the money raised will be directly donated to Dr. Faith Barnett, MD, PHD, research to identify a new treatment approach for glioblastoma, with the ultimate goal of finding a cure. Dr. Barnett, Susan's Neurosurgeon, was heavily leaned on for guidance and council from pretty much Day 1 of Susan's battle with GBM. There was a strong emotional bond and we came to think of her as family. We believe God placed Dr. Barnett in our lives for a reason and we are beyond grateful for her belief in Susan's ability to fight this terrible disease.
