Team Superman-Matthew's Fight Against Dravet

Matthew has been sick since he was an infant. The first seizures happened at 2 months old. For years we searched for a reason why. A year ago we found out that he has Dravet Syndrome. To learn more about Dravet click here No two cases are alike. While there are some adults living with Dravet Syndrome, there aren't very many & the data for that is limited. Matthew's condition is complicated by other problems like chronic constipation and diarrhea, severe acid reflux, hypotonia (low muscle tone), reactive airway disease (a type of asthma), and hippocampal sclerosis (sclerosis, hardening, of the hippocampus), and obstructive sleep apnea, which he will require surgery for. He's 8 years old. Due to his overlapping conditions we aren't sure how long he will live, but he is not expected to live to adulthood. We hope & pray that he will defy the odds. Matthew's medical expenses have grown exponentially. There are things that insurance does not cover, whether fully or partially. Please help us to help Matthew in his fight against Dravet Syndrome.
