Skip DiStefano, 44, went home to be with the Lord after a nearly two year battle with Glioblastoma (brain cancer).  Skip was born and raised in Dedham (class of 1993) and then moved to Quincy to start a family with his wife Stacey and four children, Dylan (9), Lyla (8), Dominic (6) and Julia (4).  Skip was a fisherman by trade and spent the majority of his time on the water.  He loved teaching his kids to fish, catch crabs and simply appreciate nature.

Skip was a true warrior, undergoing seven brain surgeries, countless procedures, medication regimens, etc. He considered the burden of these procedures small, for the opportunity to spend just a little more time with those that he loved, especially his young children.  Up until the very end, he was surrounded by love from his entire extended family.

The Skip DiStefano Memorial Fund has been set up to go toward the children's future.  We're re-circulating this gofundme page because many have asked for the opportunity to donate online, versus sending checks directly to the bank.  All will be organized into one fund.

Thank you for contributing to the children's future.  Skip especially would be grateful.

"But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself." ~Philippians 3:20-21
