TEAM SAMI FUNDRAISER

Hi!! I am Becca, the youngest in the Martin Fam As you may know already, my oldest sister Sami is waiting for a heart transplant in the hospital. She was born with a heart defect and had her first open heart surgery at 2 days old. Throughout her life, she had many hospital visits and we all knew she would need a heart transplant one day. Luckily, she was able to keep her “boo boo” heart, (as we called it when she was little ), until 23 years old, how old she is today! She’s a college graduate who works in fundraising for hospital patients just like her. She loved her time she as an intern for her Junior and Senior year of college fundraising at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. They saved her life!Sami has completed everything she has ever wanted, for the most part. My family says how lucky we are to have seen Sami do these accomplishments, but there is one thing left she needs... her perfect heart!! When she was admitted at the hospital, she was about to move into her own place and continue her career in the city. This took a toll on things but once she is out of the hospital, she will continue her plans!! We are fundraising for Sami to help her as she will have to be on disability for quite a while during and after surgery. Once surgery is done she will still have many doctors appointments and small procedures that will hold her back from getting back to work. We want to help her with rent, bills, and all the other things it takes to finally be living on your own!! Thank you for your support, Sami and our family are so appreciative.
