TEAM RONALD

On Sunday, March 15, 2020, Ron McGuirt (Our Graddaddy/Daddy) was diagnosed with metastatic cancer (originated from Prostate) that is now in his bones. For about a year or so, he has suffered with significant health decline and dementia. Grandma (Christie) has been right beside him 24/7 caring for him. Granddaddy's prognosis is certainly not good, though we know God is in full control of all things. Little did my Grandma know, his life insurance policy would suddenly cancel just 3 weeks shy of this diagnosis. The policy $24K (twenty four thousand) was cancelled due to age/medical reasons. She paid on this for this for 31 years!!! Last year it took nearly all she had to cover regular bills, plus January -November she paid $500 a month and December she paid $1300, along with the loss of Granddaddy's twin brother, Donnie's expenses. At the end of February they sent her a letter saying it was cancelled. My Grandmother has spent the majority of her life as a homemaker and caretaker to all of us and even outside of her own family. At her request, I have created this fundraiser to help ease her financial hardship as she travels this end of life journey with the one and only love of her life, and husband of almost 58 years, Mr. Ronald James McGuirt.
