<div>In mid November, Erin was diagnosed with a very aggressive type of brain cancer, Glioblastoma. Erin was transported to Victoria General Hospital, on Vancouver Island, where she had an immediate surgery . During the surgery most of the tumour was removed, however, the tumor has affected Erin’s eye sight significantly. In the upcoming weeks Erin will need chemotherapy and radiation treatment. The doctors have given her 18 months survivability.

<div>We are kindly asking for your consideration in supporting the Miles family. Donations will be used towards travel costs , as well as, working towards treatment outside of Canada which health care plans do not cover. The costs start at $20,000 for initial meetings and upwards of $80,000 to $140,000 for treatments. Your generous donations will greatly alleviate some of the stress in this difficult time.

<div>The Miles family is one of the nicest families that there is, no question about it. Each of them have made positive impacts on so many lives and have made friends from coast to coast, wherever they go.

<div>Erin and Mike have been raising four wonderful children. In 2010 they adopted Shae, Natalie and Linden. In 2011, Ella, the youngest, joined the family as well. Erin has successfully home schooled the four children. She truly is a super human; we don’t know how she does it. In her spare time, she had still found time to mange a hobby farm, dog sit, baby sit, cater food, bake anything you could imagine, and do anything you ask of her. These are just a few things to describe the wonderful person that she truly is. Erin has been the rock, glue, and backbone of the family.

<div>Mike and Erin, who never ask anyone for help, are the type of people that would be the first to lend a hand, give you their time or the shirt off their back without asking for anything in return. They have traveled great distances just to be with the friends they love, they always put themselves last and help those in need. But now, they need the extra love and attention.
