We are reaching out to YOU during this difficult time for support in helping Mari beat ovarian cancer for a second time!
As many of you know, my beautiful wife, Mari was diagnosed with stage 3C ovarian cancer for a second time on January 19, 2017. Mari has had a total of 7 surgeries and suffers from a very aggressive form of ovarian cancer. She has what is called the BRCA2 Gene Mutation. This basically means, that she has the ovarian cancer gene.
The cancer has spread to her lymph nodes and requires extremely aggressive chemotherapy. This treatment has been very hard on her physically, mentally and emotionally. She suffers from a lot of nausea and is bed ridden MOST of the time due to fatigue, leg pain, and the aftermath of chemo. Mari has lost about 30% of her hair and still remains BEAUTIFUL! I love this woman with all my heart and wish her the best during OUR battle against cancer. She has been placed off of work for the next 8 months while she undergoes her treatments. Mari and I remain strong in our faith and believe GOD will one day have mercy on her and cast her cancer to the bottom of the Black Sea.
We don't know the total cost of her treatment or how long Mari will be off of work, but we felt we needed to start something to help alleviate any financial stress so she can focus on her treatments and healing. Mari recently received a second opinion from the City of Hope. It seems we are on the right track for now. She will need to be reevaluated by the City of Hope after she completes her 24 rounds of chemotherapy. Her wish is to receive all future treatments at the City of Hope. She is currently being treated by Kaiser. We have set up this “go fund me” page to assist her in raising the funds needed for her medical expenses not covered by insurance.
