Team Marcela

Early this year Marcela Rivera, one of the YMCA's amazing Zumba instructors as well as an employee at the health department, and her husband Ricardo were in a major car accident. Marcela and Ricardo were traveling home when the life-threatening accident happened. Marcela had to be life flighted to Louisville, and Ricardo was transported by ambulance to Deaconess in Evansville. Ricardo sustained a broken neck and Marcela has suffered several broken bones along with major damage to her liver. Right now, they are both stable and recovering at home, but it is still unknown when either of them will be able to start working again. They have not only lost the income to provide for themselves at this time but for their five wonderful children as well. We want to do absolutely everything we can to help this beautiful family out after such a life altering event. All proceeds will go straight to Marcela and Ricardo to use for whatever they may need. They are wonderful people who are handling the cards they've been dealt with grace and positivity. It is times like this where we can truly make a difference in another person's life.
