----MEET MAGGIE----
For those of you who have had the privilege to meet Maggie, you already know that she is the kindest, most generous, and sweetest person you will ever meet. For those of you who haven't had the chance to meet her yet, Maggie is a 30 year old badass mother of 2 young boys (Mason, 9 and Lincoln, 3), who works full time as a client relationship manager at an automotive technology and insurance company. She is an amazing daughter, sister, partner, and friend, who I am lucky enough to get to call my best friend. As if 2020 could get any worse, Maggie recently received news that she has breast cancer. Maggie is an incredible human being that is always giving to everyone and would do absolutely anything for anyone. I set up this Go Fund Me to give to Maggie, like she has given to so many of us, in hopes to make her journey a little easier.

-----MAGGIE'S JOURNEY----
Maggie tore the labrum in her left shoulder over this summer and had to have surgery to repair it on September 10th, 2020. Following her surgery, Maggie had to wear a sling for a month and worked in physical therapy to be able to move her arm normally again. Upon removing her sling and being able to lift her arm again, Maggie noticed a hard, immobile large lump in her left breast. She immediately called and scheduled an appointment with her OBGYN, who referred her for an ultrasound. Following her ultrasound, Maggie was rushed in for a mammogram and a biopsy was scheduled. Maggie had five biopsies taken from the lump in her left breast on Monday, November 9th. The following Thursday, November 12th, Maggie received the call that she had invasive ductal carcinoma, type 3/3. In meeting with an oncologist on November 16th, Maggie learned that her tumor is 7cm in size and is triple negative. This is the beginning of a long journey for Maggie. Maggie will undergo an MRI to see if the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes or other organs, determining the stage of her cancer and her treatment. In addition to now scheduling appointments for blood work and her MRI, Maggie will also need to see a medical oncologist, radiologist, oncologist, and plastic surgeon. She will also be meeting with a geneticist to help her determine if she receives a lumpectomy, mastectomy, or double mastectomy. In addition, Maggie will also be undergoing 4-6 months of chemotherapy. Maggie, being the incredible person she is, has an amazing outlook on all of this and remains extremely positive!

----TEAM MAGGIE'S ASK----
This journey Maggie is embarking on is more than medical bills. The upcoming tests, treatments, appointments, co-pays, prescriptions, and surgeries are unplanned and compile with new additional expenses like extra child care and necessities to keep her comfortable during these next few grueling months. These expenses are all in addition to her previous bills for her recent shoulder surgery and other normal, budgeted expenses. Assisting Maggie with her bills and expenses in any way will give her one less thing to worry about not only now, when all of her focus needs to be on kicking cancers ass! Anything you afford to donate to Maggie's journey would be a huge relief to her and her family during this challenging time. All prayers, good vibes, thoughts, and well wishes are also appreciated! Thank you :)
