<div>Kurt is a devoted husband to Danielle and proud dad to Francesca, Racquel, and Simone. After years of unexplained kidney issues and countless procedures, he finally received a diagnosis this summer: a very rare and aggressive cancer, high-grade upper tract urothelial carcinoma.

<div>Only two out of 100,000 people are affected by this type of cancer, and for Kurt, it has spread to his kidney, ureter, and bladder. While the journey ahead will be tough, there is hope—Kurt has been accepted into a promising clinical trial at Mayo Clinic. Over the next few months, he will undergo aggressive chemotherapy followed by major surgery to remove his right kidney and ureter.
