Team Kodie Osteosarcoma Fund

One of the scariest things a parent can hear is that their child has cancer. Unfortunately on March 30, 2020, Kodie's parents, Erlisha & Mike,  got this exact news. My goddaughter Kodie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a form of cancer that attacks the cells that form the bones. Osteosarcoma will impact the things Kodie holds most dear: her mobility, her hair, her palette,  and most of all her family. 

To know Kodie is to love her. She's a free-spirited 11 year old child full of love and life.  Over the next year, Kodie will have to undergo numerous rounds of chemotherapy, limb salvage surgery that requires the replacement of half of her right femur and her right knee. Not to mention various testing such as EKGs, ultrasounds, MRIs, PET scans, hearing screens, potential transfusions and prolonged hospital stays.

While Kodie's parents have jumped right into action with her treatments, this is an unexpected hardship that none of us as parents can properly prepare for.  Kodie has already had two unplanned emergency room stays in addition to her planned treatments.  So helping the family is critical to Kodie's care.
