Team Katylynn has two relay teams this year in the Akron Marathon on September 29, 2018 and we hope with Katylynn's help from heaven and your generosity to raise $11,100 for a homeless family, friends of ours. Team Katylynn wants to help out another little girl who, like our Katylynn, uses a wheelchair and a communication device to talk. She lives with her Mom and her sister but she requires even more assistance than Katylynn because she has a trach, uses a ventilator to breath at night and cannot eat anything by mouth. Her Mom and sister love her SOO much, just as we do Katylynn, and are SOO happy to live and experience life together. The girl's mom cannot work because she is taking care of her daughter. They have been unable to afford a home of their own since April of this year. People are suggesting that the little girl be placed in a nursing home so that the mom can work but the Mom just wants to care for her daughters. She wants her daughters to live together, just as Katylynn and Shataeya were fortunate to do. We are fundraising to help keep the little girl at home with her Mom and sister. Please help Team Katylynn bring a miracle to this family!

We set our goal for $11,100 in one month because we believe in miracles and God's providence.

Family expenses: $1000/mo
$600 one bedroom apartment
$100 electric
$100 gas
$50 phone
$50 bus fares (they do not have a car)
$50 clothing
$50 savings

Income:
food stamps
$700/month waiver to care for child

3 years until older child is 16 years old and can work to help out.

36 months x $300 = $10,800

$10,800 + $300 for 2.9% go-fund-me fee = $11,100

Katylynn's favorite song in her last year of life was Adele's "Hello". She had us play the Adele record almost every evening by requesting it on her communication device saying, "Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello" and staring at Aunt Helen until she turned on the record player. Recently the Mom told me that she was in a store with her youngest daughter on the verge of a breakdown stressed by life and wondering how she'll be able to care for her kids, worried sick and almost unable to breathe. Then she heard Adele's song "Hello" come on over the store music. Tears welled in her eyes and she took a deep breath. She knew immediately that Katylynn was watching out for them and was proud of her taking her child out shopping with her even though it meant navigating the public bus with the wheelchair. She felt Katylynn with her. As much as I miss having Katylynn in our home where we can hug and see and hear her, I'm grateful she's in heaven. If she were still here with me, she couldn't have been present to that mother in her time of need in that store. She's loving so many people from heaven.

Please help Team Katylynn bring a miracle to this family!
