Team Kaitlyn, no one fights alone!

The family heard from Kait’s team today, 8/23/21. The leukemia is in her bone marrow but just trace amounts. Her spinal fluid is 96% disease which is why it is settling in her brain. The game plan for the next month is to have her stay outpatient and receive chemo and a spinal tap with chemo weekly except for this week. She will get chemo 3 days. We head down 8/24 for clinic appointment and infusion. On 8/25 she has surgery to have her port placed and a spinal tap with chemo. Then 8/27 she gets another chemo. 

They are going to have to stay down in Ann Arbor as traveling causes car sickness for her. If bone marrow donor is found and she has a transplant, they will end up living down there for an undetermined amount of time as her immune system will be taken down to zero in hopes her system will accept the new bone marrow. 

This poor kid has endured more pain than anyone we know. She is one of the toughest girls we know and trust to stay positive through it all. Please help if you can to alleviate any of the housing, travel and medical costs. Kait has a long fight ahead of her and anything will help the family fight this battle and win!!
