Team K'nected Odyssey World Finals P4D3

We are looking for financial support for an outstanding Odyssey of the Mind team to pave the way to compete at the World Finals Tournament. The team consists of exceptionally gifted middle and high school students, who took 1st place at their regional competition and 1st place at the State Tournament. They are honored to represent Colorado along with 800 other teams across the nation and more than 25 countries from May 22nd through May 25th in East Lansing, Michigan. These students include a hopeful future culinary artist, pilot, NFL player, CIA agent, aerospace, mechanical and electrical engineers.
You may be asking yourself, what is Odyssey of the Mind? OM is an extra-curricular program where team members apply their ingenuity, problem-solving skills, team collaboration and critical thinking to solve a scenario they have worked on all year. Their solution involved structural engineering, a creative presentation through an 8 minute drama performance, and then launching and crushing a 15 gram structure they have built out of balsa wood. At state their structure that weighs just 3 nickels held an amazing 710 pounds that's over 21,489 times it's weight! Teams are rewarded not just for solving their problem, but by enhancing their solution with style, and also scored with an on-the-spot spontaneous problem as part of the competition.
Know that any donation you may make would mean the "WORLD" to us, literally, and we will recognize all of our sponsors in the Longmont Times Call. If a company would like to sponsor our team, for $200 or more we will print your name and logo on the back of our T-shirts (to be viewed by thousands and maybe even taken home with an international team). If you give through this site you will receive a tax deductible receipt from Colorado Odyssey. It feels like quite a challenge to raise $10,800, but we know how generous a community we live in. We look forward to partnering with you, and putting forth our best at the World competition!
