Honoring Joanie through Malibu Race

Joan Blum Feldman, my Mom, friend and confidant, passed away after a valiant battle with Ovarian Cancer last April.
Joanie's fight made a difference in other patients lives. Her altruistic participation in clinical trials led to FDA approval of an important Parp Inhibitor for Ovarian Cancer. Her personality and spirit gave others fighting ovarian cancer inspiration and hope to continue their battle.
She continues to build her legacy of helping others through Team Joanie, an elite racing team of one (at the moment), her son - Scott, who is doing the Malibu Triathlon on Sunday, September 16th, on her behalf and in her memory to raise money for Ovarian Cancer.
Donations will go to the Joan Blum Feldman Fund for Ovarian Cancer Research under the direction of Beth Y. Karlan, MD at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute at Cedars-Sinai.
And, if you don't feel like donating, that's okay too. Just think about her and remember all she has done to make lives better.
