Team Trudell- Help Support James Trudell & Family

PLEASE READ THE 12/31 UPDATE BELOW

Hello! My name is Jami, and I have the privilege of being friends with the Trudell Family---James, Brenda, and their two amazing kids, Savannah (16), and Dalton (15). The Trudells have been like family to me and my own family since the first year we moved here to Wisconsin  almost 7 years ago. I will never forget how comfortable they made us feel when we started getting involved with school and sports activities.
I am forever grateful. I know I speak for all of the Trudell's friends and family when I say that James and Brenda would do anything for anyone.

As a lot of you know, James suffered a serious accident on Monday, December 23rd, in his garage, at home in De Pere. He was working on a project and it is believed he was  electrocuted by a tool he was using. The paramedics brought him to St. Vincent's in Green Bay where they were able to get his pulse stable and eventually breathing on his own (with the ventilator as a back up). At this time, he remains in the critical care unit at St. V's.  An MRI is planned for Friday, 12/27, and the family will await those results.

The Trudell and Bero families have taken action and are camping out with Brenda and kids at the St. Vincent's ICU waiting room. They are praying, hoping, rallying, and  channeling the utmost positive thoughts one can create at a time like this.

The reality is James will be out of work for quite some time. Brenda is missing work to be by his side. There will be financial strains, to say the least, and bills will inevitably start to pile up. Several of you have asked, "What can I do to help?" Please donate to the Trudells and let's take some stress off their plates at a time they need it the most. Please continue to pray for them and for James' recovery.  They love and appreciate all of you .

Thank you and God Bless.

UPDATE Saturday, 12/28/19

From the family:  "James’ Dr. have told us his brain function will never improve. He did sign up to be an organ donor, so the family has decided to go forward with his wishes. We are hoping he will be the Christmas miracle for many people currently on the organ donor waiting list. The donor process takes a few days so we will keep you updated as best we can. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers."

GOAL AMOUNT UPDATE: The decision to raise the goal amount is due to the circumstances of today's news. There will be many unforeseen financial responsibilities for Brenda that we don't want her to worry about. Thank you ALL, SO MUCH, for your thoughtfulness and generosity.

UPDATE, TUESDAY, 12/31/19

From the family:

"12/28/19 at 11:38 PM. This is the date and time of the very last breath. The last few days his body has been on life support to keep his organs functioning for transplant. The transplant surgeons flew in this morning from Madison and met Brenda, Dalton, Savannah, and James’ parents Gary & Kathy, in the room with James. They were assured that the utmost respect would be observed for him during the surgery. All of his organs will be going to Madison and staying in WI. There was a walk of respect this morning, where all of the hospital staff, family and friends lined the hallway as his family escorted James down to the operating room while ‘On Eagles Wings’ played throughout the hospital. It was extremely touching. After, was a short ceremony as they raised a donor flag outside that will fly for 7 days in James’ honor."
