TEAM HUNT -Victory over Cancer Fund

As many of you know, 2016 ended with the heartbreaking news that, Hunt Thompson, a husband, a father, a best friend, a brother, a son, a co worker and many more things to many many people -  was diagnosed with Rectal Cancer.

They found a mass, 2.5 inch tumor during a colonoscopy. Yes, at 32 years old! He will be going through chemotherapy (pill) and radiation as well as surgery and more if medically necessary this year in 2017.  No one can prepare you for news like that and so many things that will be ahead now. 

We are asking to pray for health and healing to his body, and wisdom for the doctors, for Hayes (his son) to continually know that regardless of what is going on to know that daddy loves him, and financial strength to their family - as even though he will be out on disability his pay will be much less and doctor bills will be much more.  We all, family friends and others; appreciate the generosity that has been extended towards the Thompson family thus far, we know that God has placed them exactly where they need to be. 

Since there has been such an outpoor of support noted so far and many people have reached out asking how they can help and I'm hoping this Go Fund Me page will be part of the answer - as a tool for the Thompson's - who I love so dearly.  The Thompson Family has a long journey and fight ahead of them, and with the funds we raise here we hope to alleviate some of the financial burdens that come with a cancer diagnosis. The ultimate goal is to help raise funds for their medical and household expenses, which they'll accrue during his treatments, in the hope that all Hunt will have to do is focus on healing and ultimately knowing that this is one less thing he needs to worry about for his family.

With that said, the new year is a time for reflection, change, and new beginnings, and a good reminder that we have so much to be thankful for each and every day of our lives.
