TEAM GEORGE - Helping the Hamlins

Donation protected
UPDATE:
George is now 15 and is still battling his brain cancer diagnosis. His mom has recently taken a leave of absence from work (unpaid) to be able to provide the increased care that George now needs. Please consider helping out if you are able:

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

  • Christmas help: We are putting together an early Christmas for the family - list will be posted shortly.

  • Make a Donation on this GoFundMe page. Give a little. Give a lot....whatever you can. Every dollar helps. This GoFundMe was used in 2018 to help George and his family. It's now active again since needs have changed.

  • Giftcards to Wendy's, Walmart, Aldi, Gas Cards, Local Pizza Places, Grub Hub, etc. Maybe you have a gift card lying around that you won't use. Anything helps, especially with the holidays coming up (drop off to Nicole Ganz in an envelope with your name on it and she will collect and get them to Crystale)

For all of you who have previously donated back in 2018, THANK YOU! It's been a huge help to the family - allowing them to focus on providing George with love, care and support.

If you need/want to help in any other way, please contact Kimberly Korb (Crytale's best friend) or Nicole Ganz via FB Messenger or text them if you have their numbers. GoFundMe doesn't allow us to post contact info here. You can also send a message through GoFundMe that will reach both Nicole and Kim.

George is a 7th grade UD student who was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor in July of 2018. Immediately following his diagnosis, George underwent a parietal craniotomy and several rounds of radiation. He had about a year and a half of clear scans at his periodic checkups and was doing great BUT just recently a new tumor in his occipital lobe was discovered. The new tumor was a lot smaller than the first, but in a different location of the brain.

George just recently had to undergo yet another brain surgery to remove the tumor and is now in the midst of radiation proton therapy on both his brain and spine. These treatments happen every week day Monday through Friday and will last until January 23, 2020. He will even require radiation on Christmas Eve.

George has already been dealing with hair loss, seizures, fatigue and nausea. But, unfortunately with radiation, the doctors have explained the potential long-term side effects to his young body (ie: stunted growth, hearing loss, permanent hair loss, vision changes, etc.).

George's road to recovery is going to be long and bumpy. Crystale is an Amazing Mom but even her STRONG SHOULDERS can't bear this weight alone. All donations will be used for Medical bills, Georgie's continued care and to help off set all the time that Crystale has and will miss from work.
