Thank you to all family, friends and colleagues for clicking on this link!
Many of you will know that triathlons have been a passion of mine for the last 15 years. Many of you will also know that I am not shy of a new challenge! Last year I set my sights on a new goal, possibly my biggest yet, to represent GB at the triathlon European Championships - this year that dream has come true!
At the end of March 2019 I found out that I had made the team to represent Great Britain at the Age-Group European Triathlon Championship in Kazan, Russia this summer. The event is on the 28th July 2019 and I will be incredibly proud to be representing Great Britain whilst enjoying the experience of racing with the fastest triathletes in Europe!
I will be competing in the sprint distance (Draft Legal) triathlon which consists of: Swim - 750 m, Bike — 20 km, and Run — 5 km.
Age Group Triathlon is a self-funded sport and whilst most athletes seek sponsorship from local companies and organisations to contribute to their training and racing costs, for the most part, athletes must cover the upfront costs themselves. These include: travel, accommodation, team GB kit, visas etc.
With only 4 months to go until race day, I have only just been called up to fill a place in the GB team. As you can probably appreciate, with such a short time frame, it is proving tricky to secure a permeant sponsor to help me fund this opportunity.
The purpose of this page is to call upon family, friends and colleagues to kindly ask if you could spare a few pounds to support me in achieve my goal of representing GB on an international stage. Any donations, big or small, would be so gratefully received.
