1 in 4 people will suffer from a mental illness at some point in their life, despite this mental health services are drastically underfunded. By supporting us and The Cogwheel trust you are enabling far more people to receive the support they need to continue on in their lives.
The Cogwheel trust provides counseling for everyone but focus primarily on young people and conditions such as depression and anxiety to prevent them from escalating further. The charity currently does not have the resources to help as many young people as they could and whether you donate £1 or £100 it would make an incredible difference and would be greatly appreciated.
£5 could help provide support over the phone.
£50 could subsidise two play sessions for a child in distress.
£100 could provide 4 weeks clinical supervision for 3 counselor.
£250 could subsidise 10 weekly sessions for a depressed person on benefits.
£500 could give someone a safe address to someone with long standing issues with 5 months of counseling.
We are going to run three events in Cambridge City Centre on the week starting July 23rd - Friday 27th.
On Monday 23rd we will be doing a sponsored walk on Midsummer's Common between 11am and 2pm. We would be grateful if you would join or sponsor us to raise awareness and money for the cause.
During the week we will also being doing a gig. More information will be given as acquired.
On Friday 27th we will be running a charity bake sale. Not only will cakes be sold but lemonade will be sold as well. It will be between 11am and 2pm.
