Team Davison

My name is Sonya Predmore I have known the Davison family for more than a decade. Our girls started in kindergarten when our husbands were stationed at Fort Benning, Ga. They are both now 20. This family means the world to me. The trials and tribulations they have been through these past four years no one should have to go through but yet many do.  How Ladina is still going all I can say is Wonder woman. Not only is she taking care of and being by her husbands side she goes home to be a mom of 3 children one who is a senior this year and and a Granny to one grandson who is 1 and 2 newborn grandsons.  James is a Veteran served 23 proud years in the Army he is a fighter. I am raising these funds to help them pay the bills, food, medical equipment if needed when he comes home from hospice and whatever else they may need to continue to fight this cancer and put their mind at ease financially. I was given permission by Ladina Davison to start this fundraiser and all donations will go directly to The Davison Family...Thank You


A little over 4 years ago did the fight with cancer begin... Right after retiring from the military...  The constant doctors appointments, the consistent pain, and the overwhelming need to find answers, rung on for over a month and a half till the news was broken to him and his wife, the scary words of "you have stage 4 colon cancer" rung in their ears over a few days before treatment began.

Now James is fighting his fight in Columbus Hospice with his loving wife right beside him every step of the way. As of late his wife Ladina who is a para professional at McBride Elementary on Fort Benning, GA. isn't working in attempts to be there every step of the way for her loving husband and to ensure he doesn't give up on his fight. After being told with current pain not being under control he was given only 5 maybe 6 months left. So he resides in Hospice until the pain is under control to begin chemo once again.

So we plan to keep him in high spirits and keep him motivated to continue this difficult fight. Not only for himself and his wife but for his three kids Kynesha, Jazmine, and Jaleel who is a senior in high school. Also his three grand sons Zkari, Isaac, and Isaiah. We hope to keep his hopes high and his heart full.

Whatever you can give helps. With his wife not able to work and needing to care for his kids and grand kids any given amount would go a long way to help support them and him while he is fighting off this sickness.

Ladina has been struggling to make ends meet hasn’t been easy losing her main source of income with James’ passing. She did get a second job and the she got robbed and management felt it was no big deal they were use to it. However, it shook Ladina and she quit. She recently got a letter in the mail saying she has to pay back the leave she continued to use that her co-workers so kindly donated to her when her husband passed..No one said she couldn’t use it after her husband died. So the sum is about $2500. That is a lot of money coming out of her check or at any given time she is the soul income earner in the house. She has been struggling for the past 4 months to make ends meet.  AER (military leading)  has helped once and states they no longer can help. She may have to move back to her hometown and that really is the last thing she wants to do.  Jaleel just turned 18 (TODAY) he graduates soon now would not be a good time to up and move... if you have it in your heart to help  $1, $5, $10 whatever you are able to donate would greatly be appreciated.. The money would be used towards the $2500 as well as her utilities to keep them on. We have called all the resources in the area to help with those and everyone has stated they are tapped out. If you pray please pray for Ladina and her family that she is able to stay where she’s at and that god and James walk her through.. God gives his strongest angels the hardest battles..
