Thank you for taking the time to read the story of an amazing mother, beautiful wife, best friend and epic warrior! As most of you know, Christy has stage 4 breast cancer that had metastasized to her pelvis and spine and, unfortunately...now her intestines. We are going to start off by telling you a little bit about how we got to his point:

After the cancer diagnosis in 2015, she had a double mastectomy. She then traveled to her oncologist in Kingman for multiple Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments. At this time, the cancer had already spread to her bones but seemed to be in remission from the chemo.

Then suddenly, earlier this year, she had severe pain in her abdomen due to a bad gallbladder (which she had removed). Soon after that surgery, and for past couple of months, she's had chronic nausea and was unable to hold down any food. This resulted in extreme weight loss and severe malnutrition..

Finally, a gastro doctor in Phoenix diagnosed the problem; a bowel obstruction.  She was advised to rush to the ER immediately. After several days in the ICU (at Banner Good Sam in Phx) to nurse her back to health, the surgeon went in to find the source of the problem...sadly it was cancer around the small intestine causing the obstruction. There were too many tumors to remove so they bypassed the diseased area with the hope that future Chemotherapy would have a positive impact on the cancer.

After 4 days of Christy recovering quite well, things took a turn for the worse.  Her heart rate suddenly elevated to an alarming rate. She was rushed back to ICU to monitor her heart and find the issue. The doctors soon discovered that the bowel surgery was not successful...there was a leak due to the cancer. Her heart was reacting to a bacterial infection in her belly. The surgeon recommended she be rushed in for another emergency surgery to resolve the "leak" or face a life threatening illness from the bacteria.

After 12 days already in the hospital, Christy is now recovering from the second surgery where they were able to re-route her intestine. Only time will tell if this intense surgery will be successful, God willing...it will!  She will likely be away from home for another couple of weeks before she's able to begin her battle with this newly discovered cancer.

Christy has the best cheerleaders you could ask for; her 4 children are the light of her life (Elayna, Jared, Dylan and Jace). Jace (7) still has many more memories to make with Mom, Christy is working SO hard to make this happen.. Her husband and real life Knight in Shining Armor, Bill, has been by her side every step of the way and away from work. They are all so extremely thankful to all of their amazing family and friends for their huge outpouring of love, concern and support. Christy is a fighter, she still has a huge battle ahead but SHE WILL CONQUER THIS! We have no doubt in our mind. Please help me help this wonderful woman and her family by donating whatever amount you can to this account here. It will be used to help in any further medical expenses, treatments, medications and travel expenses. XO
