After experiencing a couple years of recurrent respiratory sypmtoms, Bobbi was referred for evaluation by a pulmonologist, Dr Robinson.  After an extensive work up, Bobbi was diagnosed with a rare carcinoid tumor of the left lung.  Due to the location and special nature of the tumor, she is unable to receive treatment in Montana and will be sent to Mayo Clinic in MN soon.

Bobbi and Jason's son Kairi is also experiencing a life crisis of a recurrent clubbed foot, requiring tendon transplant at Shriners Hospital in Spokane.  Due to the delicate nature of his procedure, Kai will be non-weight bearing for an extended period of time.  He will require extensive therapy and orthotic equipment to make his full recovery.  Jason, Bobbi and Kairi leave for Spokane 9/27 for surgery.

Both with have multiple trips back and forth to their respective treatment centers, as well as extensive medical cost, including many orthotic braces that are minimally covered by tranditional insurance.

So many aspects of Bobbi's care specifically are unknown at this time, until surgery is completed to know length of recovery.  We are hopeful the delicate hands of the surgeon at Mayo are able to remove the mass with only a partial lung resection leaving her with 22% less function on the left side.  If unable to do so, she will lose 100% function.   Bobbi is expected to be at Mayo Clinic anywhere 2 weeks- 2 months.
