We have a special little boy here that needs some help. Meet Austyn.... He is 6 months old and is in serious need of a helmet to try to reshape his head to bring it some what back to normal as he deals with cranialorthis. While this is a common problem in babies , he has quickly reached into the moderate high range. His insurance doesn’t cover the coast while most carriers does. They consider this cosmetic procedure since it doesn’t effect how the brain will grow. Without the helmet his brain will continue to grow at a very odd angle towards the side of his head causing one side of his head to be larger than the other side. The brain will shape to the way the skull is forming. We know he will be okay mentally. 
 But as parents/ Gaurdings it’s our job to do all that is  possible to help our children succeed strongly in life. That’s why we often put braces on our children’s teeth. While this helmet will not shape his head to a perfect shape, it will however move some of it back into position, but better yet , stop it from progressing.
 We are in a tight time frame to be able to get the helmet and that’s why we are reaching out for help. Most babies soft spot closes around the one year mark. Austyn however his head is growing at a quicker pace. At two months his head measured at a 33% range. at four months his head measured at 95% mark. 
 Which really alarmed the doctor’s . 
Thankfully , at his 6 month checkup it measured at 90% . So this means time is of the essence and can’t wait until tax time to come around.
