Team Australia - World Skate Games Argentina 2022

On behalf of ASRA (Australian Skateboard Racing Association), Skate Australia and World Skate, 13 top athletes and 2 staff members have been selected to represent our country in the Downhill Skateboarding, Street Luge and Slalom disciplines at the upcoming World Skate Games held in San Juan, Argentina in October/November. World Skate is the governing body for skateboarding and is officially recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The most important step in the planning process for success at the World Skate Games is obtaining local and corporate sponsorships from businesses and organizations, to help offset some of the costs associated with operations. With team announcements and event information being released within 3 months of the event date, it has proven difficult to obtain corporate sponsorship to help aid us. Thus, we have created this team GoFundMe to help cover the costs of:

Leather suits - $4500aud

Team Australia uniforms - $5500aud

Accommodation - $8000aud

On top of these expenses, staff and athletes are hoping to raise funds to cover

Flights - approx $3500 per team member

With registrations, insurance, car hire, fuel and other travel expenses to come.

The Slalom discipline events will take place from 27th October - 1st November and the Downhill and Street Luge disciplines will compete from 8th November - 13th November.

All donation funding will be directly invested into the team and used to manage and improve athletic opportunities for Team Australia whilst in Argentina at the World Skate Games.
