Asniya , meaning "to heal" or "to cure" in the Dakota language, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 2002. Our mission is to build healthier communities by bringing medical knowledge and opportunity to underserved American Indian children and young adults.
This summer Team Asniya will be participating in its 3rd local triathlon to raise funds and awareness for our programs that inspire and educate students who are interested in pursuing a career in health and sciences.
On August 26th Tracy, Alex and Kasey will challenge themselves in Yankton’s Best Triathlon at Lewis and Clark Lake in Yankton, SD. Tracy will once again be getting out her swim suit and goggles, Kasey is their steadfast cyclist, and Alex will finish out the race as their dedicated runner. We are thankful for their efforts every year, Tracy as a Board Members and Alex and Kasey as friends of Asniya. We hope we can count on YOU to make a gift in their honor. Every gift you make will help give our young students on the Indian reservations of South Dakota a better chance at securing their education and their future.
