www.facebook.com/groups/TeamAJ/ Exactly 5 years ago when AJ Atherton White was only 27 years old  she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.  Yes, you read that correctly.  She was ONLY 27! At this time in her life AJ  was a dedicated Mom to her then 3 year old daughter Lexee, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a niece, an employee and a student.  Her life stopped abruptly so she could wage a tough battle.  Treatments, set backs and infections plagued her for years. It was only in the last year that her life was somewhat getting back to normal.

In late August, 2018 she went for a check up.  Her back, hip and leg were hurting and she started getting headaches.  Her doctor ordered a PET Scan and an MRI of her brain. The results are very worrisome.  The cancer has metastasized to her bones.  It is mainly in her skull but also in her orbital bone, sternum, spine, hip, and femur.  Her hip & femur are a fracture risk so she is now having to use a walker.  She will be starting chemo &  radiation very soon and will have IV meds to hopefully strengthen her bones. Fortunately, she is being cared for by the top notch doctors, nurses & supporting practitioners at Baylor Hospital Dallas & Sherman, TX where she lives.

Last year AJ finally felt well enough to go back to college.  She made a 4.0 and was on the Dean’s List!   This would be her last semester of college before starting to student teach and finally graduating.  She was determined to finish therefore was taking a  heavy load of classes. AJ was also  working on getting her real estate license   This new diagnosis  once again has stopped AJ from achieving her goals.  She has had to drop all her classes to  wage this tough battle against metasized bone cancer while caring for Lexee her 8 yr old daughter and Clay her teenaged step son.

AJ and her family are asking for your prayers. I am asking for your financial assistance.   I heard from AJ’s Uncle Dennis that she has wanted to take Lexee & Clay to Disney for years now.   PLEASE help make this possible for AJ & her family.  I will post updates for you at this GoFundMe platform or you can follow AJ on Facebook at Team AJ: Fight Like A Girl.
