<div>Two weeks ago, dear Michele received the news no one ever expects - a stage 4 ovarian cancer diagnosis. This came as a complete shock to all of us, especially Michele, who has always been one of the most responsible, proactive, and health conscious people we know.

<div>Michele never misses a doctors appointment or annual check - up of every kind. She's the kind of person who keeps up with everything - never even missing an oil change. If diligence alone could prevent illness, she would never be in this position. But as many of you know, ovarian cancer is known as a silent disease. It whispers, and that it did until the pain which she attributed to something else made her jump into action going to the hospital immediately at the advice of her doctor.

<div>Despite the gravity of the news - a 27% chance of beating this - Michele's response was nothing short of inspiring:

<div>If you know Michele, you know she WILL fight. She's a powerhouse of positivity, strength, and grace. A successful hairstylist and independent business owner, Michele has spent her life lifting others up - with her genuine interest, listening ear, generosity, and incredible warmth. As an amazing single mom she's raised her terrific son with joy and considered it a true privelidge. Now it's our turn to lift her up.

Even with good medical insurance she carries, the costs of specialists, treatments, hospital visits and care are exorbitant. Michele has always been generous and self-reliant and has faith, but this is a time when even the strongest among us need extra help.
