Volunteer Teaching Trip to Taiwan

I am working with three other teachers to establish a summer program to teach fifty (50) or more middle school students from an underprivileged rural school in CheCheng township, PingTung county, Taiwan.
Together, we have created a curriculum including English, art, theatre, and, above all, inspiration. We are being supported in part by the local community, but are seeking additional support for the flight and board to get and stay there for two (2) weeks this August 2014. The flight is $1600, board is $750, and the remainder ($650) will go towards art supplies, books, pencils, and additional educational materials. The principal and students have been told we are coming and are anxiously awaiting our arrival!
The trip is being led by a good friend and felllow TFA Corps Member, Ruby Lin, who graduated from CheCheng Middle School in 2004, the only middle school in her native town. Middle school is as far as most children in her town will go in their education. Ruby counts herself as incredibly fortunate among her fellow classmates.
This mission trip is comprised entirely of teachers, current and former TFA Corps Members, who want to help Ruby in her dream to give back to her local community and to help the children of her native village realize the attainability of aspirational goals.
