Teacher Steve Needs Your Help!

On July 15th our beloved colleague Steve Arnold fell down the stairs in his apartment building and severely damaged his mouth, teeth, and jaw. His neighbor took him to the hospital where he stayed for two days and had to get stitches and medical assistance to reduce the swelling. He found out that he fractured his jaw and had lost several teeth, and the remaining teeth were damaged and had shifted signficantly.  This has resulted in constant pain, difficulty speaking and eating, and ultimately he will need oral surgery to remove his remaining teeth and have implants put in. 

Due to unfortunate circumstances, Steve had lost his medical and dental insurance as of July 1st, so he will need to pay for his hospital stay, doctor visits, and future surgeries out of pocket.  Dental care in the United States is very expensive, and Steve's dental surgeon estimated that the cost of his procedures could end up being over $25,000. 

Steve has dedicated his life to teaching international students, and his passion and ability to connect with people from all over the world has made him loved by all. Although teaching is a noble and valued profession in the United States, teachers never make the amount of money they deserve. With Steve's salary, it will take many years for him to be able to pay for the procedures he needs, and his ability to even earn a living has been affected since he now has difficulties speaking. 

We want to help Steve with this huge financial burden as he can't afford to pay for it on his own.  If you have ever had the opportunity to meet Steve, you would know that he is the kind of person who always goes the extra mile and is always there for those in need.
