The nearest primary school is a daunting five kilometers away, and to reach it, our children must traverse through the bush, risking their safety every day. Our children deserve access to education without having to embark on a dangerous journey through the bush.

<div>The fundraising campaign is organised and managed by the non-profit organisation COPI (Competence and Opportunity Program International) with active members in Germany, Belgium and Uganda, whose chairman, Mr Jacob Oyugi, Professor of Entrepreneurship, has already started the construction of the school with his own funds and with the help of the village community. Now the children are beating down his doors.

<div>Lessons are currently being improvised without tables and chairs in the (too small) basic structure of the building on a voluntary basis with 56 children, many others are waiting for a place.

<div>The village is not connected to the national drinking water system, so drinking water still has to be fetched from a distant well at the moment.
</div>

<div>More and more children are coming and want to be the first children in their families to attend primary school.

<div>The work on site is carried out entirely on a voluntary basis by the village community.

<div>Die nächste Grundschule ist fast eine Stunde Fußweg durch hohes Gras entfernt, deshalb gehen aus den benachbarten Dörfern Kinder gar nicht oder erst zu spät in die Grundschule. Es gibt bereits 154 Anmeldungen von Eltern.

<div>Der Unterricht wird momentan ohne Tische und Stühle mit <strong>jetzt schon 56 Kindern ehrenamtlich</strong> im (zu kleinen) Rohbau <strong>improvisiert, viele warten auf einen Platz. </strong>
