<div>Dard është 2 vjeç e 4 muajsh, por peshon vetëm 7 kg si pasojë e një sëmundjeje nga e cila vuan, e cila u zbulua kur ai ishte 3 muajsh në spitalin Bambino Gesù në Romë, Itali. Në momentin kur lindi, Dardi pati mungesë oksigjeni dhe për këtë arsye qëndroi në inkubator për 2 javë e gjysmë. Më pas, e morëm në shtëpi pa ditur se çfarë kishte, pasi askush nuk e kuptoi. Në shtëpi, çdo ditë gjendja e tij përkeqësohej dhe pas tre javësh u shtrua në reanimacionin e Pediatrisë në Tiranë për një muaj, ku gjendja e tij vazhdonte të përkeqësohej dhe ende askush nuk arrinte të gjejë diagnozën e saktë.

<div>Privatisht, morëm një ambulancë dhe u nisëm për në Itali, ku qëndruam 2 muaj e gjysmë në spital, ku u zbulua sëmundja nga e cila vuante Dardi. Ai ka një sëmundje gjenetike neuromuskulare që e pengon të qëndrojë ulur, të ecë dhe të flasë. Si pasojë e hipotonisë totale, i është krijuar edhe skolioza. Dardi ka insuficiencë respiratore kronike dhe për këtë arsye përdor një ventilator ajri gjatë natës. Ky problem nuk e lejon ende të ushqehet nga goja, prandaj ai ushqehet përmes PEG (sonde e vendosur direkt në stomak nga jashtë).

<div>Për Dardin ka shpresë, por këtu në Shqipëri është e pamundur. Ai duhet të shkojë në Itali çdo 6 muaj për të qenë nën kontrollin e mjekëve të specializuar për diagnozat që ka. Që në momentin kur u zbulua sëmundja, Dardi bën fizioterapi, nga e cila ka pasur përmirësime të dukshme. Së fundmi, ka qenë e nevojshme të fillojë edhe seancat e logopedisë, dhe të gjitha këto bëhen në klinika private të specializuara, me shpenzimet e familjes. Deri tani e kemi dërguar çdo 6 muaj, por tani është e pamundur të mbulojmë shpenzimet e spitalit dhe e vetmja shpresë e Dardit është të kurohet në Itali. Familja është përjetësisht falënderuese për çdo ndihmë tuajën ose për ndarjen e këtij informacioni me njohuritë tuaja.

<div>Dard is 2 years and 4 months old, but he weighs only 7 kg due to a disease he suffers from, which was discovered when he was 3 months old at the Bambino Gesù hospital in Rome, Italy. At the moment of his birth, Dard experienced a lack of oxygen, which is why he stayed in an incubator for 2 and a half weeks. After that, we took him home without knowing what he had, as no one could figure it out. At home, his condition worsened every day, and after three weeks, he was admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Tirana for a month, where his condition continued to deteriorate, and still, no one was able to find the correct diagnosis.

<div>Privately, we took an ambulance and headed to Italy, where we spent 2 and a half months in the hospital, where the disease Dard suffers from was finally identified. He has a genetic neuromuscular disease that prevents him from sitting up, walking, and speaking. As a result of total hypotonia, he has also developed scoliosis. Dard has chronic respiratory insufficiency, and for this reason, he uses a ventilator at night. This issue still prevents him from feeding orally, so he is fed through a PEG (a tube placed directly into the stomach from the outside).

<div>There is hope for Dard, but here in Albania, it is impossible. He needs to go to Italy every 6 months to be monitored by specialized doctors for his diagnoses. Since the moment the disease was discovered, Dard has been undergoing physical therapy, which has led to visible improvements. Recently, it has also been necessary for him to start speech therapy sessions, and all of this takes place in specialized private clinics, at the family's expense. Until now, we have been able to send him every 6 months, but now it is impossible to cover the hospital expenses, and Dard's only hope is to receive treatment in Italy. The family is eternally grateful for any assistance you can provide or for sharing this information within your networks.
