To The Delta is a solo canoe adventure from the Black Forest to the Black Sea along the Danube.
From Germany to Romania, the total trip distance is looking to be 2,621kms, so let that be the goal in cash as well!
To The Delta is partnering with Heart 4 Heart charity to raise money for children with Congenital Heard Disease (CHD).
The entirety of the proceeds goes to our partner organization, Gift of Life International , which in turn facilitates the crucial surgical procedures that grant life to children in need.
A key distinguishing aspect of Heart 4 Heart is that we operate on the basis of fundraising for one specific child at a time assigned to us by Gift of Life International. Therefore, every dollar raised is directly used to provide surgery through Gift of Life International’s surgical missions to save one child at a time.
This child is Jamima. She was born on March 8, 2014 with a hole in her heart. She lives with her family in Haiti with her dad fishing and her mom selling the daily captures. Their household income is $5/day and a surgery at 2.5k is totally out of reach. In the meantime, Jamima, 3 years old only, has shortness of breath and respiratory infections.
We believe that promoting directness and eliminating anonymity renders enhanced personal responsibility and clarity of operations.
