The school of Nursing, Health, and Exercise Science at The College of New Jersey, has always been committed to giving back to our community. This year, we want to give back on a global scale, through the International Council of Nurse's Girl Child Education Fund. This organization raises money for the education of the orphaned daughters of nurse parents in impoverished countries. With just $200, we can fund the primary education of one girl for an entire year- this not only includes school tuition, but uniforms, books, and additional fees as well. Educating girls in developing countries has shown to vastly improve the health  of that country, since women eventually end up being the primary decision makers in matters of  health and illness. 35% of the girls who have benefited from this organization have proceeded on to higher education, and the school drop out rates and teen pregnancy rates are both under 1% for GCEF participants.

With your help, we hope to raise as much money as we can to give to this amazing organization. As future nurses and members of the health care field, it's so important to do our part to promote education in the world. Not only is an educated country a healthier country, but education is the key to in the fight for gender equality, decreased poverty and violence in our world. The school of Nursing, Health, and Exercise Science truly appreciates any amount you can give, and thank you for donating!
