Feeding Kids in Your Community!

Hungry Hearts Foundation is in need of cash donations this year.

When Tammie Enders, a teacher at Glenwood Elementary in Lake Stevens, WA, discovered one of her own students would be without adequate food over winter break, she decided something had to be done. She contacted Anita Caffee, and together they vowed that no child would go hungry at their school. Anita spearheaded the program with hours of research and interviews. In 2010 Glenwood's very own backpack program was born. What was then called Li'l Hungry Hearts, has grown today into the Hungry Hearts Foundation. It is managed and run by an astounding board of directors, which includes local business owners, teachers and parents. The Hungry Hearts Foundation is making it their goal to "Take A Bite Out of Childhood Hunger" and ensure that "No Child is Left Hungry."

Hungry Hearts Foundation serves 10 schools in the Lake Stevens School District to reduce and hopefully, one day, eliminate hunger.

The program currently serves approximately 150 kids in Lake Stevens.  Hungry Hearts is a volunteer-led program with 100% of your donation going to the program.

$190.00 donation feeds one child each weekend for a school year.
