Our Children Need Your Help!

In America, more than 24 million children live in homes without the physical presence of a father. Millions more have dads who are physically present, but emotionally absent. If it were classified as a disease, fatherlessness would be an epidemic worthy of attention as a national emergency.

 

My name is Terrance Hunter and I am the President/Director and founder of Empowering the Fatherless, Inc. I am also an ex-felon who served 30 years in the California Department of Corrections. My participation in prison self-help programs helped me discover the decisions that led to my incarceration are directly related to my biological father’s absence from my life. Today, I use my experiences and knowledge to help kids who are victims of fatherlessness.

 

Empowering the Fatherless, Inc., is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that has federal and state tax exempt status. The mission of Empowering the Fatherless, Inc., (ETF) is to embrace, support and empower fatherless kids so they may realize their full potential.

 

This GoFundMe is to raise money to fund the cost of an  Empowering the Fatherless Learning Center and vehicles to transport kids to the Center.  Our goal is to equip fatherless kids with Life skills, Effective Communication/Speaking skills, and Financial skills, so they may reap the benefits of living a well-rounded and fulfilling life. Our participants will undergo a healing process that will liberate and free them from the psychological and sociological effects, of growing up in a fatherless home.   ETF's services are free charge.

Furthermore, our vision is to  improve the self-image of fatherless kids, emphasize the importance of fatherhood and the father’s role in the home, and rid society of the social, criminal and financial ills that are related to the Fatherless Crisis in America.
