Hello everyone, my name is Charity Holland. I am trying to raise funds to help pay the deposit for my own apartment. Despite many barriers I have been approved to move into a beautiful place in December. This is very different from the other places I have had to rest my head the past few years. I have slept under bridges, shelters, and couches. I spent nine months in a recovery house also. On December 5th, I will have a year clean. I worked very hard this past year to overcome my wreckage from my past. I have had to move forward and work with a lot of people to get where I am today. But soon I will have a safe place that no one can take away, and where I can sleep safely. Have my children with me and It will be all ours.
So many people and organizations have helped me so far to get closer to my new start. To name a few Providence Methodist church ( which is my families home church), Another church that wants to remain nameless also helped , The Nashville Homelessness commission, Needlink and Recovery community. They have helped me learn to live a different way of life, Responsibility, and most important that I am not in this alone. They have also helped with NES and water deposits. I have everything taken care of to move in my new home but the deposit. I have the first months rent and I am able to pay bills moving forward. I have a part time job and I am also on disability. This is my last barrier to my family having this amazing fresh start that god has provided. We are also moving in with no furniture, dishes, anything for a home. We have the clothes and little things that we have collected in the past couple of months. But no big items at all. I really hate asking for help But at this point I have no choice. I pray you can find it in your hearts to help even with a single dollar. You have no idea how it would add up for my family. I have three children. One is grown and lives on his own. Then I have a son that is 16 and a daughter that is 9. They all are amazing children and wanted me to add that they also said thank you!
