Cops and Kids Back to School Bash 2018!!
Taking Back OUR Village exists to build community partnerships to reduce youth violence.
It is our vision to bring peace between all communities so we all can live, work and play in harmony.
Taking Back OUR Village is a community organization made up of volunteers dedicated to improving the overall well-being of our local community. We promote activities that will empower citizens, strengthen families, and encourage young people to become productive members of society. We believe that building community partnerships is the key to helping those in need. Uniting our efforts together as a community allows us to work together more efficiently and effectively to create positive changes in the world in which we live and cohabitate. It take a village is an effort to bring about the good we want to see in our community, and together we can make a difference.
This funding will be utilized to help fund the 4th annual Cops and Kids Back to School Bash. You can see the interaction between uniformed law enforcement agents and community children and youth at the 2015, 2016 and 2017 event and how much this assisted in eliminating the fear that children have of law enforcement officers. This event is for edutainment and is a valuable asset to the community.
Purpose-To promote community awareness in safety, the importance of knowing that law enforcement is in place to serve and protect, the prepare students for the academic year and to introduce the community to various support programs and services to assist in their academic and family success.
