A good friend of mine's family has been dealing with such tremendous obstacles and sadness, andI feel like helping their family by raising any money will help! Te'Aira Hairston-Bass has been married to her best friend Dale Von Bass for a year and two months. They have two beautiful girls De'Aira and Tiana Bass. Five months after the wedding they found that God blessed them with another baby. They were so excited to find out they were having their first baby boy! About six months into her pregnancy her doctor was still unable to get an anatomy on his brain, so they were sent to a specialist. After testing, the specialist told them something was wrong with their baby. They were sent to get more testing and fetal MRI. The results came back that her baby has a severe brain disorder called Holoprosencephaly with a Frontal Encephalocele. They were told his life expectancy would be short. When he was born he came out breathing, crying and beautiful! Now their son is two months old and still here fighting. They are planning to receive a surgery to get the Frontal Encephalocele moved to help with his quality of life.
Two weeks after having her son she was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. The doctors told her that she needed to have a hysterectomy and remove her breasts. The cancer spread to her lymph node under her armpit, so she will be starting Chemo, Radiation. She will not be able to have any more children, and is fighting hard to save her baby boy.
