Graduate School

I am excited to continue through Denver Seminary's Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. I am loving classes and have maintained a 3.9 GPA. The Lord has helped shape my desires for the future and I feel confident to move in the direction of child therapy. I want to work with children because I believe that is how society can change for the better. Most of us have childhood scars, some that we were able to cope with succesfully and some that may still linger today. My hope is to meet children and families where they are at and help bring hope to situations that seem bleek. I want to provide resources to parents that may be overwhelmed and to be to a child what someone once was to me. I had the blessing to start counseling when I was about 7 years old and I believe that God used that to inspire me in this direction now. God used a patient, truthful, kind, and intelligent counselor to help me through some difficult times in my life and I now would like to do the same for others.

I am currently taking out loans each semester because there are few scholarships available. I am also working as an ABA therapist here in Littleton, CO part time. Any little bit would help go towards school funds and it would be less that I would have to pay back later on! I really appreciate you taking the time to look at my page.
