Send Tavi to Nationals!

Donation protected
Last month, Tavi Heildelberg became the first California wrestling state champion in her high school's history. On her way to winning the championship, she upset the nation's number 1 and number 3 ranked wrestlers. This sixteen-year-old clearly demonstrated she has the skill and determination to be a top contender in our county. (Here is a brief article on Tavi). This talented athlete is also a member of the Sacramento Judo Club, which is how I met her.

Last week, I learned that Tavi, even as our state champion, does not have any funding to compete at the USAW Girls Folkstyle National Championships in Oklahoma City March 22 - 25, 2018. THAT'S THIS WEEK! The event is also a collegiate recruiting fair for girls hoping to wrestle at the collegiate level. As a junior in high school, Tavi's presence at this event could significantly impact her future opportunities.

This is where YOU come in! Let's pull together as a community and get her to the championships.

As a former world class judo athlete myself, I know what it takes, and the support necessary, to fund a dream. Tavi is an impressive individual and will represent our community well on the national stage. Please consider investing in her dream and contribute to her journey as an up-and-coming athlete. Any surplus funds raised will be reserved for her future wrestling needs.
