It is with extremely heavy hearts that we have had to temporarily close our doors and reach out to you for support.
For those of you who have dined with us, you know that we are a family-owned and family- operated restaurant. You have witnessed Maurizio putting his love into his carefully crafted dishes. And you have no doubt seen us and our staff, the backbone of our business, running the floor and kitchen to ensure that your experience is nothing short of special.
We feel so privileged to have had the opportunity to bring New Yorkers and customers from all over the world a taste of Maurizio’s creative yet traditional Italian cuisine for the past 24 years in both West Village and Lower East Side. We have loved being part of the celebrations of your birthdays, graduations, marriages and proposals. We have been honored to host our children’s classmates, parents and families for special events.
It is not easy for us to ask you for more than you have already given us. However, it is our sincere desire to weather this storm, and reopen our doors when the time is right. But we cannot do this on our own.
We ask that you give whatever you can to help us get through this difficult period and help secure the future of our neighborhood restaurant. And if you help us, we will pay it forward by feeding those on the frontline. Our goal is to feed as many doctors, nurses, members of FDNY, NYPD, and EMS daily. The first responders, doctors and nurses are working day in and day out to keep our city, friends and family safe. The least we can do at Taverna Di Bacco is what we do best...cook them a warm, delicious meal made with love.
