Tavaidi's Internship To Medicine

Tavaidi Cassidy has a dream of becoming a Medical Doctor. She is currently enrolled in UCSF Health Link internship program, where she is learning about the anatomy. Tavaidi is also an honor roll student and participates in different activities which include, basketball, softball, flag football and the Polynesian club.
We're so proud to announce that Tavaidi Cassidy has been accepted to the National Youth Leadership Forum for Medicine, from George Mason University.
Tavaidi was one of twenty students chosen out of 150 to participate in this program. This intense internship is a hands-on experience in a variety of medical procedures, using the latest technology used by medical professionals, with the guidance of experts. This will give Tavaidi the opportunity to practice medical techniques during a realistic simulation intubating a patient. Tavaidi will also gain Communication, conflict resolution, critical thinking and decision-making skills that will help her become a strong motivated leader both in school and in her future career.
This is too good of an opportunity for Tavaidi to pass up, just because of financial issues.
